It is newer than the Japan Only, 32Gbyte model.

The two newest PW3 models are ones that we don't support, so we don't get much information from the users.

There isn't a separate source code bundle for it, nor a separate firmware download.
So the model number change may just be for production or stocking purposes.

The model number is part of the serial number and the serial number is on the box now.
So a model number change would make it easier to be sure the oldest stock is sold out first.
(Some of those batteries haven't been charged in two years.)
