I noticed the other day that my local library (Surrey UK) is dropping Overdrive.

I wonder if Overdrive is on its way out.
They're still around, but they've lost some ground in the UK. Bibliotheca have been making a huge push into the UK market ever since they bought 3M's Cloud Library in 2015. They offer a much more flexible pricing model than Overdrive does, which many local authorities find attractive in the current climate of austerity. Quite a few have switched as their contracts with Overdrive come to an end. I have library cards from five local authorities in my bit of England, and four have switched to Bibliotheca in the past two years.
