Kobo Touch 2 no light vs Kobo Aura Edition 2 has. Kobo H2O waterproof and bigger size vs previous 2. Kobo Aura 1 has comfort light, autolight sensor and bigger size vs H2O.
And the rotation feature on the Oasis is not really a hardware feature but much more software feature although the fact that it senses rotation could be argued as hardware feature. But rotation is not dependent on the hardware (it could be done in the firmware) so I'd argue it's not a hardware feature.
Your claiming Kindle has more hardware variation isn't a matter of opinion. It's demonstrably wrong with facts.
