I'm still struggling to understand how just having a device (actually 2 I guess) amounts to Kindle having more variation than Kobo? Kindle has 2 different resolutions, 1 screen size, 3G possibility and page turn buttons on 2 of the devices.
Kobo has multiple resolutions depending what price point you're willing to pay, waterproof option, comfort light option and 3 different screen sizes. How is that any less hardware variation than Kindle? Just because not all of these devices may have options you or I may want or care about (from both companies), that doesn't mean that they don't both have quite a variation in options across their product line.
