Well, you have seen and read it already, although you may not have realized it.

This is a technical forum and technical people tend to be very (very, very, ... ) literal.
Translation of 2nd sentence:
The jail break survives the update to 5.8.8 (and everything not mentioned, does not survive the update). Only the jail break is mentioned, and that is the only thing that survives.

Another translation:
Entirely normal, re-install everything that is in a package with the name format of: update_*.bin plus anything else that seems broken.
(The "hotfix" is an exception, it IS the bridge code, and the bridge code does auto-reinstall itself when it auto-reinstalls the jailbreak. It is a "good" Kindle virus.)
