I think I would miss the device thickness. While my Kindle 1 isn't a clunker, it is thicker (though not heavy), and I like this. It makes it feel more natural, more like a real book, and rests nicely in my hands or even my lap.
I don't like how the K2 looks as thin as a pencil.
That worries me. I wonder how strong it is.
