I believe that the sloth is correct.

I am a little surprised that two people knew the answer. Of course, they are on the cover of the book because they move very slowly and appear lazy (supposedly they're not--it just has something to do with their metabolic rate. Yeah, right. And, that's why I'm such a couch potato, too. ha).

One reason that I was surprised that two people knew the answer is that they are not indigenous to the United States anymore. They live in Central America and South America. Many years ago, they lived in present-day Florida, among maybe other places, in what is today the United States.
