I switched from a PW1 to a PW3 and noticed a significant difference. As expected, the text was much sharper, but, surprisingly, the screen of the PW3 has almost none of the splotchy areas that the PW1 had. I don't know if this is generally the case or if I just had a bad PW1 (or received a good PW3).

As an aside, I only paid $20 for the PW3 due to a price mistake on Amazon. I would not have paid $120 to upgrade from a PW1 to a PW3.
