Uhh, you didn't see this video posted earlier in this thread? The Kindle Flare inexpensively can switch to "bookshelf mode" to not only show off [audibly] your books to others but provide that very comforting environment.


The next generation of Kindle Flare will enhance this experience by having the following features; 1. built in lens capable of providing a holographic projection of a virtual bookshelf filled with books in your collection 2. A built in noise meter capable of being set to trigger a holographic projection of a virtual librarian to hush those around you. 3. Further enhancements are currently being considered based upon customer request.

An example of a request which has been requested (and rejected) was called the simulated "Paper Cut" This feature would randomly project a tiny fine blade to cause a minuscule nick to the finger when swiping the kindle flare screen.
