In that case how is the diags partition started in the touch screen devices as the device comes from Amazon? If it can't be booted then there is no need to waste the space to hold it.

PS: I did a bit more of a search and see that "idme -d --bootmode diags && reboot" will start the diags partition, but how can that be issued running 5.8.8 firmware?
