I'd like to suggest that if you want a tablet you pay a little more for a good one. You don't have to get an expensive one to get a good one but the very cheap ones tend to be poor. I've bought a couple of them and I've helped some of my neighbors with theirs and they can be very difficult. Quite a few people in my retirement home have given up the idea of tablets because their very cheap tablets were so poor and they assumed that was just the nature of tablets.
I have the cheap Kindle Fire and that's a pretty reliable device but it's not a very good device. I also have an Asus tablet that cost a bit over $100 about a year ago that's vastly superior.
If you can wait and save for a better tablet I'd suggest doing so. If you can't then the Kindle Fire is at least okay and probably so is the Nook tablet although I haven't actually seen one of those and i could easily be wrong.

Thanks Barry. Since I probably won't be using it (I might rarely for some recipes if I can figure out how to strip my kobo cook books) I don't want to pay much. It's for my 4 year old to watch some videos and play some games while we go on long car rides and such. Someday if he can prove you take care of this I'll buy him a better tablet. Myself, I had a Nexus years ago and never used it. My son threw it down the stairs years ago and it just won't charge anymore (actually I think it's the power button, I tried to fix it and it worked the first time but now it won't turn on) plus has a cracked screen. I use my phone or my laptop for web stuff and my e-readers for my e-books. :-)
I know it can use Netflix, but since it doesn't have a ton of memory I didn't know if I could save the downloaded videos to the SD card. I'm sure there won't be much anyway but I thought I'd ask.
