good morning,

my current save template is

{Author} [{series:'ifempty ($, field('pubdate'))'}{series_index:0>2s| |}] - {Title}

I want to change it so that if there is no series, to insert "[A Novel pubdate]

The end result would be the result of the current save template but will add "A Novel" in front of the pubdate if there is no series.

I've spent hours trying to do this myself and have consulted the python instructions from the calibre help pages, but cannot figure it out. please help!
