They have "frozen" me several times. Then I call them up and chew them out, pointing out the $1000s I have spent on ebooks (and usually 3 or 4 purchases in the last week, even if only $0.99 books), and the 10s of 1000s I've spent on other things on amazon, and my membership since 1998. They have always apologized and unblocked me, but YMMV. Sometimes, it's just too darn easy to accidently purchase a book.
And if they do ever do it permanently, well, there are other vendors. All my books are all local, and I've started reading most/all of the books on Moon Reader, even on my Kindle. The kindle software on the Kindle has gotten slower and slower as I have amassed more books, and the non-responsiveness (sometimes 5 or 10 minutes with the kindle screen locked) is beginning to seriously burn my tater tots. I would miss the easy-of-use for Amazon, but I can handle the differences if needed.
If I could just figure out how to get a dictionary "attached" to the Moon Reader Pro, I would never use the kindle reader again. The only thing I would miss with the Moon Reader would be the synching across devices, and I can (and do) that manually. Oh, and the amazon ads
