I don't know the difference, I chatted with the assistant from their website, she derived me to a Kindle support chat and there was where she offered me that discount after make me try some steps that wasn't even for my device (press power + volume up, in a PW3 that doesn't have a volume key).
I live in Argentina so I don't think I could call to the support phone, I'll keep trying to fix it.
I don't know what went wrong, I updated to every firmware since I got it without issues and never tried to jailbreak it.
