). Your two were similar but NOT identical. At the risk of boring others, I had one 'situation' last year. On one author's weekly newsletter ther was a 'clickon' to get one of her books free from Amazon - only I didn't check

and got charged £1.99! Went back to author who suggested an Amazon refund (their fault BTW not hers) but she then sent me a direct copy of the book via an email: she too reckoned that if you had a refund on an individual item then that was it for that item.....
or maybe we're both wrong.
