For note taking and drawing, a precise stylus is definitely the preferred way to go. However, the ability to pinch zoom for pictures and diagrams would be beneficial.

It would also be nice to be able to use the ereader if one lost one's stylus. I think it would be pretty difficult navigating the Max without a stylus, which is why I bought a replacement stylus at the same time I ordered my Max.

So having a device with dual capabilities would certainly be a plus.
