Some free tools for Smashwords authors

Just wanted to let folks know about some free tools we've put up on the web that might be of help to various Smashwordians. They're at www.reanimus.com/tools .

There's...

- A checker for common errors that upset Smashword's meatgrinder or the premium review team, so you can fix them up front, before uploading and instantly going live (or waiting days for a premium review rejection).

- A "Table of Contents tool" to add ToC's to docs in a less difficult manner. (Also converts existing Word ToC's.)

- a "Nuclear Option Assistant" (to help reformat a doc with the dreaded "Nuclear option" but retaining italics, which are among the hardest to reintroduce afterwards).

- "Smartlinks", which allows links to sales pages for your other books in a way that doesn't get rejected for containing links. On an ipad/iphone it links to the iTunes page, on a Nook it links to the Nook page, etc.

We have a few hundred books under our belts on Smashwords, and developed these tools in-house for our own use; I thought they might be helpful to other folks, so we put them up on the web. I hope folks find them useful.

(Hi, Admins, if this is felt to be self-promotional in some way, please delete. I do a variety of non-profit work, so I'm not in this for profit motives, just trying to be helpful.)
