I don't have as much time to spend here as some people (unfortunately), so, rather than reading through a long thread to see if there might be an applicable message, instead a pointed question on a particular slant serves a good purpose and can serve to produce an on-topic thread that's of interest to some (but maybe not you!?!).

Are you aware of any "serious" bugs other than the reading stats anomaly?
I am aware of no serious bugs that stop me from upgrading. But, there are people here who swear they will not upgrade for some reason or other. Hence, I have no idea if there is a bug that you consider to be serious enough not to upgrade. The best I can say is that I know of no bug that causes data loss or prevents you from using the device as it is intended. If you are worried, which you seem to be from the questions you are asking, you need to spend the time to do the research. Otherwise, just let the device handle it.
