Welcome, sankaran!

I have a Boyue T63, but I used to have a T62+. A year or two ago, I had a Paperwhite. So, I have had experiences with both kinds of devices you are looking at.

Both devices have a frontlight. Both have intuitive UI, but the paper white might have an edge there. The Boyue T62+ has a 212dpi display, while the current Paperwhite has a 300 dpi display. The Boyue T63, however also has a 300 dpi display. The Boyue devices have a microSD card slot, while the Paperwhite does not.

The Kindle app is very slow to start up on either Boyue. However, the stock reader app on either Boyue is smooth and fast enough, as are some other Android reader apps, like Moon Reader. The Boyue is sluggish only when trying to run apps more demanding than its stock reader app. If you get the Boyue, you'll want to convert your Kindle books to read them in the stock reader or some other reader app. The Kindle app takes a long time to start up, and is sluggish to use on the Boyue. You will need patience!

Based on what you have said, my guess is that you'd be more comfortable with the Paperwhite. You can get everything direct from Amazon, and can sideload other books as long as they have one of the supported formats. The Paperwhite will be easier to set up than the Boyue. You can't install any apps, but if you only want to read books/magazines from Amazon, you won't need to.

Why might you want to get a Boyue? The Android firmware allows you to install apps like Pocket or Instapaper, which do well on e-Ink. You can install apps from Kindle, Nook or Kobo - though they will be more sluggish as they are designed for faster Android tablets. I chose the Boyue because there are a couple of apps that involve mainly reading that I wanted on an e-Ink device. If you don't mind the extra time needed for setup, the Boyue can serve you well. If you want an easy setup, go with the Paperwhite.
