Long-established techniques in use in the gaming and mobile software industry, calibrated with extensive *private* ebook data and tradpub industry pbook data.

Don't have to believe them if they don't match preconceptions but nobody has successfully challenged them. Not guesswork, not WAGs. As good as any other, more limited, source, better than most quoted by industry publications. Increasingly quoted by tradpubbers.
