Exactly. Though I don't own a Kindle, I think it is solid advice. One you've used one for a while and you know what you do and don't like, then you can decide if it is worth investigating Calibre, Alf and other e-reader brands.

But for a simple, out of the box experience with e-reading a Kindle is hard to beat.
