I just discovered today that not all K8 formatting is currently supported in the KFX format. When I converted a standard novel, KP3 indicated the book is Enhanced Typesetting supported. But when I converted my test file with all the text boxes, frames, lines, tables, etc, to see what would display correctly, everything displayed correctly but the file information showed the ebook as not supported for Enhanced Typesetting.
I'm not sure what the actual relationship between Enhanced Typesetting and KFX is -- everything I've read so far treats the two as intrinsically bound -- yet these results would suggest either the two are not synonymous, or that perhaps KP3 is only displaying a mobi8 file for ebooks that are not supported.
Any thoughts from those more knowledgeable about these matters?
In the meantime, I'm going to email Amazon and see if what, if anything, they have to say about this.
