This is in general info and not specific to your own book you have in iBooks, but a) Be aware not all books you buy from Apple will be ePub's. b) A lot of the books, depending on publisher/author, will have DRM which prevents you from doing much with them.


As for iBooks on a Mac you might want to give this a read and see if it helps...
