I summarize, just to see if I understand correctly:
  • You reinstalled the 4c patch, by selecting "handle update" > "install update."
  • You selected "start nickel," and when you then exited nickel by opening "exit_nickel.png," you saw the KSM main menu with rotated screen.
  • You also seleced "user scripts" > "start nickel rot_test01.sh," and when you then exited nickel by opening "exit_nickel.png," you saw the same KSM menu form where you started nickel (that means the menu that contains the item "start nickel rot_test01.sh"), and the menu was rotated. (The expected behaviour however is, that KSM shows a little clock that counts the seconds, displays a text that says "Select OK only if the orientation is correct!", and reboots the device after 10 seconds or so.)
If this is what was happening, I do not understand why it is that way. I cannot imagine how a factory reset and re-installing KSM, and applying the patch should solve the problem.
