In the current firmware I have on the KA1, the light adjustment while swiping doesn't work well. It works, but it jumps by 6% a time, and when I stop swiping, it does one extra jump in the direction I was swiping in.
I prefer using the +/- slider with the 1% patch installed. (But I've read in the earlier thread that the light now adjusts by 1% as a default.)
