Here along the I-5 corridor of Washington, we have earthquakes and volcanoes to contend with. Further west on the coastline, they have earthquakes and tsunamis to contend with. Plus, there are the winter storms with flooding and occasional hurricane force winds. Then we have the fall, winter, and spring rains, but mostly in the form of constant drizzle. If you want snow, a short drive into the Cascades will yield a veritable winter wonderland with record-breaking snowfall.
Still, it's paradise; especially when compared to other places I've lived.
