I buy ebooks from Amazon, but I don't really enjoy reading them on the Kindle Fire device. I read books on my PC mostly. I can import my Kindle KFX books to Calibre in the newest app (2.80) (Thank you, Kovidgoyal). It "see's" the Kindle book - but it doesn't convert it. And it cannot read it, either.

Is there by chance a project in the works to make it possible to convert the KFX to EPUB/ASW3, or am I simply stuck with reading my Kindle books in my Kindle Fire? (sigh....) A reply would be much appreciated. BJ1947
With the Calibre's KFX output plugin you can do the other way around.
Download from Amazon in AZW3 format and then convert to KFX. Although I really don't see the point, if all you're going to do is to read on pc...
