And yes it was a marketing ploy. A common one made when releasing a new product. What we don't know is whether Kobo will extend the full OD function to the other devices. I'll be surprised if they don't extend it to some of the other devices, but I won't be to surprised if they don't extend it to all of them. And by that I mean I would expect the H2O to get it, but not the Mini. And probably not the Touch or Glo.

of course i would have to buy one myself, i don't know anyone else who is into e-readers full stop regardless of brand or model, although perhaps if i ask Kobo or whsmith nicely they might let me borrow a KA1 for the day what do you think worth a try?
