I am Sulyn and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It has been a very long time since I have been involved in a forum set up like this one so my behaviour may appear amateurish at first but I will remember how to post and where to post once I do some navigation.
I learned to read at the age of 3 and I have been devouring books, mainly fiction, since then. I must be getting older as I have started reading some non-fiction, including biographies. Most of my reading in this area is history, particularly from the 1800s forward, throughout the world.
Last year I did a Goodreads challenge and my goal was 250 books. I read 258. I have had to take early retirement from a job I loved because of health issues, so I have a lot of spare time to read and I am looking forward to finding new authors and different points of view on books I have already read.
I do have a lot of friends both on the net and in real life and my goal this year is to re-connect with as many as I can so I may not comment much until I find a thread that gets me going. I look forward to meeting many of you in the future.
