1) I could not get the Windows-mouse to be visible on the Kindle. I could see the Windows desktop/programs OK, but without seeing the mouse, I could not utilize Windows w/o looking at my main LCD monitor.
2) 9.7" is too small ... and I got more eye strain from squinting at the Kindle to figure out what the teeny text says. DX has a 1200x800 resolution and the "use a DX as a monitor" instructions maps pixels of the Windows desktop 1-to-1 on the Kindle, such that you can't zoom out a 1024x768 Windows resolution to fit the 1200x800 kindle. What happens is that you get a black area for the the (1200-1024)x(800-768) area of the DX. Widows programs with smaller text is very hard to read on the Kindle
3) The greyscale of the DX makes it even harder to read/identify things. On a LCD, green text on a red background is easy to identify, but on greyscale, it can be very difficult to read, especially on 9,7" screen with very small pixels.
This was pretty informative, thank you. So would you say getting the Pixel Qi is a bad idea as well ? I would assume so since the display is hardly bigger.
