The eInk screen doesn't display colour but the internals do. When you add Screenshots=true under [FeatureSettings] and use the power button to do a screenshot, the cover images show in colour -- with the newer firmware, 32 bit colour. If Kobo ever produces a colour eInk device, the software is all set to go.
