What you mean is that you are unable to Return a book to KU by going the Kindle Store etc. Have the same issue on my Voyage.
They recently made a change to the KU web portal, where it shows everything you've ever borrowed by default and you have to filter it down to what is 'returnable'. It seems this has had a negative side-effect on the Kindle's view of things. On the plus side, you can also manage Prime Lending Library borrows there.
It still works properly in Kindle for Android and Fire HD6. Wish they'd add Return to iOS Kindle app 'Book Browser' (so you don't have to do it with web browser).
