Admittedly, I was tempted. Just because its faster and slimmer. But I can't justify the spend as the Kindle 2 doesn't offer any real reading advantages for me over the Kindle 1.
If I sell my Kindle 1 (which to me is the same as Amazon offering an upgrade deal), I'd still add the cost of a new cover , extended warranty, as well.
So I am going to keep my Kindle 1...I still have 5 months on the Amazon warranty and another 2 years from square trade after that. If my Kindle dies in that time, then I can upgrade for small money and until then it does what I need it too.
