It can be that I had an older version V2. which is not yet on Kobo Firmware 4.2.8432 has been run.

Only files were exchanged, because it did not run first.
The code has not been changed. It works with the "new" Kobo 4.2.8.423 kernel.

It's just yet with the Aura One, is probably the driver for the illumination in the Kobo kernel different.
I can not fix this with copy and paste. I only play. I am not a programmer.
We all want someone who can solve the Aura One problem.
It runs on all other Kobos.

That is the answer and what I was trying to work out. What you have done is taken someone else's work and repackaged it. You have given no attribution to where you got the files from. Your post made is sound like this was your original work. And your post was several posts below the posts linking the original version. The only difference I can see between your and the version from https://github.com/gtalusan/kobo-nig...r/KoboRoot.tgz is in the nightmode.ini. Here you have specified your values and stripped a lot of information about how to configure the hack.

As to the screenInv.so, the "V2" version was created explicitly for the updated kernels. That means it is for any Kobo ereader running firmware 4.2.8283 or later. I don't know if it works with earlier versions of the firmware. It should work with the Aura ONE.
