I find it ironic that a book which wants to correct our punctuation, ends up making a grammatical mistake in the very first words of it--the title, Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation. A zero approach to punctuation would mean no tolerance for any punctuation! We do want punctuation! What the title should have said is something like, "A zero approach to improper punctuation."

I am not setting myself up as an expert in punctuation or grammar; I am poor at both (I attribute my poor punctuation and grammar to being in three different elementary schools in three different states while growing up, thus getting a double or triple dose in instruction in some topics, but nothing in other topics). This just happens to "jump out at me."
