Thanks so much for the reply.

After the jailbreak I installed firmware 5.8.7. Realised I forgot to put that detail in my original post, so just edited to add that info.

And just to be sure, I double checked the Kindle's "Device Info" & yup, it says it's version 5.8.7.

This is a bizarre problem. I had some azw3 files on the KV before I jail broke it & could see them no problems, but after the jailbreak I have this issue. Really weird.
