Thanks.
It depends on what changes you did and want to preserve.

Most likely you did some changes by using "configure." Backing up these changes is the only part that needs some effort, since the file is on the system partition (/adds/kbmenu/ksm_ini). Here is how to do it
Spoiler:
  • select: tools > explore > explore kbmenu.msh
  • toggle to "cp to sysmirror" (by pressing repeatedly "open/info/delete/cp to sysmirro", until you see in the info box: "current mode: cp to sysmirror")
  • scoll down by using the arrow-buttons at the bottom, until you see the entry "ksm ini"
  • press "ksm ini" (by this you copy this file to .adds\kbmenu_user\sysmirror)
  • press "return home" to go back to the ksm home menu
  • now the file is ready to be copied from .adds\kbmenu_user\sysmirror to your pc

On the user partition there are some folders that you might have to back up.
Spoiler:
If you added yourself new configuration options: .adds\kbmenu_user\confoptions
If you added fonts: .adds\kbmenu_user\fonts
If you used the KSM back up command, for instance to back up the database used by nickel: .adds\kbmenu_user\backup
If you added documents to the mynotes folder: .adds\kbmenu_user\mynotes
If you added your own scripts: .adds\kbmenu_user\scripts
If you changed the power off picture: .adds\kbmenu_user\txt
