The most commonly missed step in the instructions is the one about setting "Metadata management" to automatic on the "Sending books to devices" page of the calibre preferences. I don't know why people miss it, but at least half the people who say they have done the configuration properly but don't have collection created have missed this.

If this is done, you can take screenshots of the driver configuration and post them. Or run calibre in debug mode and post a log. From the log I can usually see what is going wrong. To do this, right-click on the preferences button and select "Restart in debug" mode. Calibre will restart. The connect the device and wait for the device connection jobs to finish. Then close calibre and the debug log will be displayed. Post the full contents, or PM them to me if you would prefer.
