For me it (build 13) works on Touch and Glo. I only toggled it on and off using fmon once or twice to see whether it works, and it did. I do not think I tried toggling with the hardware keys though. But I can try this evening. It should definitely not be necessary to factory reset your device.
I forgot one thing: I am using KSM, and therefore things work a little different. Therefore, I better had not responded here.
Normally (i.e, without KSM), every FW update overwrites a certain file (rcS) that has been modified by nightmode, and one has therefore to reinstall nightmode again (or at least a part of it). Since the nightmode package has been released, there have been some changes to the rcS file that possibly prevent the old package from (re)installing nightmode. If this is the case, the problem should concern all models, not only Glo. I guess, there must be some updated install script around.
