Exactly... and you know what will happen if they want us to pay for a firmware update. The outrage will be very loud.

Then again, the chances of getting firmware upgrades for a previous hard ware rev go down quite a bit. Look at the PRS500 owners that didn't get Digital Editions support.

Now that this new kindle is out, will the v1 become legacy? I think the 1.2 rev for the K1 was just to get people to want multi-device support.
