I was wondering about this. Is it tied to the account, the hardware or both? I saved the apps for one of my kindles and was planning to give it to my niece. Will she be able to restore the apps through USB or will I have to login on the device if she deletes one of them and wants it back? I think the active content works fine once installed, even if the account is deregistered.
