I thought this was interesting, when I was looking through the kindle system a few months ago, in case someone else hasn't seen:

Code:
/usr/bin/lipcd-scripts/lipc-props/displayTemperature.sh
Code:
cat 'kdb get system/driver/DISPLAY/TEMPERATURE_FILE'
Maybe it's a way to get a real representation of our own screen temperature for our device, because some people say they have more blue screens, some say more yellow.
Maybe the kindle itself 'knows' how blue/yellow, the temperature, the screen is.

I only have one kindle to test this one and I don't have access to it right now, other wise I would post my value and seen if it is different to other people who try this
