Sounds like maybe you have your OD app set up with an OverDrive account instead of using your Adobe ID with it? I know I had something similar happen with a library book when OD had fooled me into thinking I needed an OD account for their app instead of just my regular Adobe ID. Of course that was a couple of years ago, I don't even know if they have a separate OD account vs Adobe ID thing anymore.
