I updated the
patch for Aura One and Aura Edition 2. It includes now a better handling in cases KOReader crashes. The modifications to do by the user that I described in
emergency power off if KOReader exits spontaneously are not any longer required. Thank you
Franzie for reminding me that koreader.sh returns the exit code of the KOReader application.
I would recommend to
install this patch on all devices that run any of the more recent firmwares. This patch introduces some improvements, and without this patch you will not be able to connect to a wifi network in KSM on any device. It will also not be possible to run Koreader in the same session, once you run nickel.
With the most recent FW update (4.2.8432), there arose however a problem. On some devices (including H2O), if you install this patch, there will be a screen rotation when you exit nickel back into KSM (which makes it difficult or even impossible for you to handle KSM). So until this is fixed, you would have to restart the reader instead of returning directly to KSM. At least, this is the situation as I understand it at this point (I do not have a H2O, or one of the other models that might be affected by the screen rotation). Devices that are not affected by the screen rotation are, according to my information, Touch (and therefore I guess also Mini), Glo, Glo HD, Aura One (and therefore I guess also Aura Edition 2).
