On my Android device it downloads with the "in motion" features enabled, but it gives you the option to turn off "Show media" in the "Aa" menu. This makes it display like a regular book. However, it doesn't reduce the storage consumed.
This book eats up a lot of space: - It occupies 856MB of storage on my Android device as a set of KFX files.
- Using "Download & transfer via USB" targeted to my Kindle delivered a 41MB .azw3 (KF8 format) file.
- Downloading the book using Kindle for PC 1.19 delivered both a 41MB .azw file (KF8 format) and a 497 MB .azw.res file.
For comparison Wool used to be delivered as a 711KB file in MOBI format.

I have to say that Kindle in Motion sucks. I bought
Wool at Kobo and because Howey has gone over to the dark side,
Wool is no longer available to purchase in the US as a real eBook.
