Did you overwrite the one of the FW update? Or did you first successfully install the FW update? Maybe in this situation it is better to choose to remove the update, and see what happens (I expect that nickel starts again). Let us see how to continue after you report what has happened. That you copied the png files anew might also create some problems.
Hello tshering! Thanks. Now following your instruction I have no problem to enter "nickel". But I found every time after I get out of the "nickel", I can no longer get into Koreader. "start Koreader" will only give me "Info: Wifi is enabled!". Also, after reboot, if I don't touch anything, after a short while, it will automatically enter the "nickel" model and the screen shows a message that says "something went wrong". Could you help? Thank you.
