I picked up an Augen The Book reader at a thrift store. I know, it's ancient, but it was cheap. So, I can charge it up, but all it does is go to a splash screen with a green leaf on it. I can't get it to do anything more than that. There's a reset button on the back, but it just goes back top the leaf screen.

Is it just a brick or is there anything I can do to reset this to factory settings or to root it?
