Why is everyone having a problem with the KFX (or KF8 as it shows up in Calibre) file?

I have been downloading, converting and transferring that format for ages. I just checked, I got a book with "enhanced typesetting", sent it to Kindle for PC where it went into the folder with every other book that has an AZW format. I Went to "add book files" added the book, brought it into Calibre, opened it ip, converted to epub. Sent it to my devices and had no problems.

Am I missing something or are you all not downloading this format right? Am I mistaking what is a KFX format? I just know that Calibre gives it the little amazon file icon that say's KF8. Please let me know if I am mistaken because if I am not, then I don't see how you all are having trouble. Please let me know.

Why is this a problem?
