Bleeding Hearts is the 10th in the Gregor Demarkian series by Jane Haddam (pen name for Orania Papazoglou). It has dropped to $1.99 at Kindle and Kobo US, apparently as a holiday-themed price drop for Valentine's Day. I note this is a repeat "holiday" sale - I bought my copy from Amazon on Feb 12 of last year
