I've had an iPhone as far back as the iPhone 3. I've had a 505. The 505 did not charge using the iPhone USB charger. The 600, 650, and T1 did not charge using an iPhone or iPad charger. Apple did the USB charger their way and Sony went with the standard. Other companies made their devices compatible with Apple's USB charger. My Kobo Aura H2O charges using an Apple USB charger.
So please don't make it seem that a Sony Reader can be charged using an Apple USB Charger. It can't without a specially rewired USB cable.
